Patients interviews and diagnostic exams (physical exploration, cystoscopy, uroflowmetry, laboratory, ultrasound and biopsying) are done in the HIFU MX CENTER located in Puerto Vallarta, México. International patients can complete all your diagnostic workup at your city and send us a copy of the file to our office (e-mail, fax or courier). Previous to schedule your treatment we will discuss every detail concerning the HIFU treatment; one day before the HIFU treatment we schedule an appointment in the CENTER to have an interview and answer any question about the anesthesia or HIFU. If you live in the Puerto Vallarta bay area, in HIFU MX CENTER we offer state-of-the-art technology to diagnose prostate diseases, including PSA measurements, transrectal ultrasound with color Doppler scanning to increase the definition of suspicious lesions, and biopsy guided with transrectal ultrasound. HIFU MX CENTER also offers diagnostic approaches for: erectile dysfunction with hormonal, metabolic and lipids profiles, and penile functional Doppler ultrasound, defining the type of dysfunction and the options for treatment; kidney stone disease is very frequent in our community and requires not only diagnosis of the obstructed portion of the urinary tract, but the metabolic background and the possibility of creating more stones, and the possible damage of the kidney with functional tests.
